What job can a teen start that opens doors to a self-employed and self-made career in the future?

My response:
Interestingly more than 72% of teenagers in a study said they want to start their own companies and not join the Corporate rat race. So it’s a question that's following the global trend for sure :) Check it out: The High School Careers Study
Here's my recommendation:

If the teen has an interests now that draws them it would be smart to find a business owner already in that field that they can talk to and shadow to get real, in the trenches, experience.
I would ask questions about what skills they have already, what they’d like to learn, what they find interesting and fun, and even what people say they’d be good at. Sales, Business, Designing, Product creation, so many options. In the words of Gary Vee - Just let them try sh*t out 😊
I wouldn’t just go for any job unless its relevant, or has skills to teach them what they actually want to learn. Nothing worse than starting a job that teaches them to live to work rather than work to live or love your work period!
They don’t have to marry any career yet, no rush, but if they don’t try it they’ll never know. Experiment, shadow someone, take a class on the weekends, buy some tools, and enjoy the experience.

Remember the journey leaves room to try-fail-try again so that you can start connecting the dots to what you love. That goes for the young and those on their 5th career.
